*ETIHAD AIRWAYS* cancels 18 orders for A350, grounds 10 A380 and 10 Boeing 787. Lays off 720 staff!

*LUFTHANSA AIRLINES* plans to ground 72 aircraft!
(in 2 instalments).

*THAI AIRWAYS* files for bankruptcy.

*SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS* files for Bankruptcy!

*FINN AIR* returns 12 planes and lays off 2,400 people!

*FIJI AIRWAYS* lays off more than 7OO employees, including pilots.

*WIZZAIR* returns 32 A320s and lays off 1,200 people, including 200 pilots, another wave of 430 layoffs planned in the coming months. Remaining employees will see their wages reduced by 30%!

*EUROWINGS* goes into Bankruptcy

*HOP* is studying the possibility of reducing fleet and staff by 50%.

Currently, *60 new aircraft stored at AIRBUS with no buyers* in sight (order cancellations) including 18 A350s.

They forecast a minimum of *8,000 grounded planes by September* that may sadly layoff more than *90,000 unemployed pilots Worldwide*

Kuwait  resumes direct flights to Egypt  After a long period of stopping direct flights between the two countries.   The spokesman for the General Administration of Civil Aviation in Kuwait, Saad Al-Otaibi, said that the Kuwaiti civil aviation authorities informed EgyptAir, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways that they would allow airlines wishing to resume flights from Kuwait to Egypt to resume their activities, after a long period of stopping direct flights between  The two countries.  Al-Otaibi confirmed in statements yesterday that "this step comes to facilitate the travel procedures of the Egyptian community wishing to leave Kuwait to their country by direct flight."  He said that the travel procedures "will be conditional on adhering to special health requirements to counter the spread of Covid-19."  He did not specify a specific date for the start of these flights.  There is a large Egyptian community in Kuwait, estimated at 700 thousand people, which is the s
