Qatar Airways Resumes Flights to Cairo for the First Time Since 2017.

The airline will operate daily flights to Cairo in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the route will be served with a state-of-the art Boeing 787 Dreamliner.



On Monday (January 18, 2021), Qatar Airways announced the resumption of service to Cairo, with the first flight, QR1301, departing Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha yesterday at 15:15 and arriving in Cairo at 17:40 (all times local). The resumption of service marks the first time the carrier has touched down in Cairo since 2017 and the new daily service will be operated with a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner. On Monday, January 25, 2021, Qatar Airways will also resume service to Alexandria with flight QR1317 departing DOH at 15:15 and landing in HBE at 17:50. Qatar Airways’ guests traveling from Egypt will now enjoy seamless connectivity to over 110 global destinations via the carrier’s Doha hub.

Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the state of Qatar and currently operates over 700 weekly flights to more than 110 destinations, providing more flexible travel options to more global destinations than any other airline. The airline plans on increasing their offer to 125 destinations by the end of March 2021. Qatar Airways was named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ in the 2019 World Airline Awards managed by Skytrax as well as the ‘Best Airline in the Middle East,’ ‘World’s Best Business Class.’ The carrier has also been awarded the title for ‘Best Business Class Seat’ in recognition of their ground-breaking Qsuite product which offers a spacious 1-2-1 seat layout. Additionally, Qatar Airways is the only carrier to have ever received the prestigious “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title five times. Qatar Airways normally serves over 170 global destinations with a fleet of more than 250 modern aircraft. The airline’s primary hub is located at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
