"Miracle in the Hudson".
On this day in 2009, during a flight from La Guaria Airport in New York to Charlotte, North Carolina, a US Airways Airbus A320, registered N106US, had an accident and landed in the Hudson River. To be the only case of a plane crash and the survival of all its passengers, to be known later as the "Miracle in the Hudson". Flight 1549 took off from Runway 4 at 15:24 after taking permission to take off in cold weather with some clouds in the air. Minutes later, at 15:27, the plane hit a flock of Canadian geese in both engines, causing the plane to stop working permanently. After the calculations made by Captain "Sally" decided to land in the Hudson River because he was unable to land safely in any surrounding airport, the commander landed in the river without any death recorded (4 minor injuries).
